Cape Cod Boaters Enjoy New Meeco Sullivan Timber Docks
Warwick, NY – Meeco Sullivan just completed an expansion at Bass River Marina in West Dennis, MA which is a very popular location on Cape Cod for boaters due to its convenient access to the Bass-River-Speed-Zone and Nantucket Sound. Under new ownership since 2015, Bass River Marina continues to undergo extensive expansions to update its facilities.
The latest expansion included 38 boat slips, an extension to the fuel dock, a new 300’ courtesy dock for one of the two onsite restaurants and a new 4’x40’ aluminum gangway. The new floating docks were Sullivan Heavy-Duty Timber frames with composite decking built at Meeco Sullivan’s Warwick, NY production facility. Matt Beechinor, Regional Sales Manager for Meeco Sullivan commented, “In addition to providing a superior timber floating dock system, it was great to be part of a project that increased the number of available slips on Cape Cod, something needed throughout the entire region.”
All three phases of the Bass River expansion are being completed by Meeco Sullivan. The contract for the third phase was awarded in December 2019 and delivery was completed in May 2020. Joe Tierney, General Manager of Bass River Marina, commented that “We are very happy with the quality and stability of the new floating docks. They are very sturdy and well built and our customers are happy to be walking on such stable platforms. The Meeco Sullivan team is very responsive and professional to work with.”
