Stutts Marina, located on Lake Norman in Mooresville, North Carolina, is a lakeside staple for the area. Originally opening in 1963, Stutts has since changed hands to its current owners who have renovated and solidified its position as the finest marina on Lake Norman. Their latest renovation was completed in December 2019 and added 98 slips to their marina.

Meeco Sullivan engineered and manufactured the addition of “D” and “E” docks using Meeco steel frames. The wedged shaped sections in between the docks are decked with composite decking while concrete pavers are used on the rest of the docks. With Lake Norman seeing a lot of boat traffic, Stutts Marina is located in an area of the lake that is subject to a lot of wave action. Meeco Sullivan was able to rectify that issue by implementing wave attenuator technology on the outer side of the new docks, helping ensure less damage will be taken from the constant waves.

Stutts Marina owner, Peggy Dimperio commented, “We would work with Meeco Sullivan again. We are currently leasing at 100% occupancy. When walking on D & E docks there is no movement; like walking on land.” Stutts Marina is looking forward to a very busy 2021 season.
