Warwick, NY – Meeco Sullivan announces the completion of a Sullivan floating dock system at Chesapeake Yacht Club as part of their phase 1 renovation plan. The Chesapeake Yacht Club is located on the West River in Shady Side, Maryland. The Chesapeake Yacht Club has been open since January 8, 1947 and is revered for being one of the oldest yacht clubs in the Chesapeake Bay area.

When deciding whether to refurbish or replace the yacht club’s fixed docking system, CYC opted for replacing the dock with a Sullivan Timber 38 slip floating dock. Replacing the fixed dock for a floating dock gave CYC a heightened competitive advantage among the other yacht clubs and marinas in the area that use only fixed docks. The use of floating docks compensates for the fluctuating water levels without fail.

Chesapeake Yacht Club chose Meeco Sullivan on account of the quality, availability of options, and layout customization. CYC has a large amount of electrical wiring and their personal layout specifications warranted the need for layout customization.
